Clearly this continuousrepeating pattern was designed to be used to inexpensively decorate displayareas or to be used as a long wall banner. When the projects ended it could bediscarded.
PROVENANCE:A continuous roll of 5 of these was located by a bookseller friend of mine whocut it into 5 equal sections. He sold two and I bought the other three and havesold one thus far. These five crepe paper images are in fine condition and arepossibly the only remaining vestiges of this truly rare ephemeral item from theGHIRARDELLI CHOCOLATECOMPANY. No record ofany sale on WorthPoint and no picture on GOOGLE IMAGES.

Additionally, its low cost and ease of use made it apreferred choice for those looking to decorate spaces creatively withoutspending too much. Although no specific inventor is known, it is known that theprocess of crinkling paper to create a textured surface was discovered whileexperimenting with printing and papermaking techniques.
CONDITION:Very fine collectable condition, with nomentionable defects, the Crepe paper is not fragile and can be handled easily [Please seescans].
